EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Staff needed for day and overnight positions at shelter for women experiencing homelessness in Luzerne County; all positions require knowledge of and experience with issues pertaining to women and homelessness, individual and family counseling, mental health and substance abuse issues and coordinating and collaborating with area agencies serving the same population.

Shelter Coordinator: Part- to full-time time position (.6--1.0 FTE) to coordinate daytime operations, supervise staff and volunteers, assist residents to develop and implement permanent housing plans, coordinate with area agencies, and cover unfilled overnight schedules. BA or BS in social work or related field; experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 

Case Managers: Full-time overnight positions to manage shelter operations, supervise and assist residents to develop and implement permanent housing plans, coordinate services with area agencies, and work a rotating schedule.  BA or BS in social work or related field or high school degree with advanced classes; experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 

Assistant Case Managers: Part-time evening and daytime positions for women’s shelter to assist Case Managers and Shelter Coordinator with shelter operations, coordinate services with area agencies, and work a rotating schedule including overnight hours as needed.  BA or BS in social work or related degree or high school degree with advanced classes; experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
